The scammer used a real HR person name at FHI Clinical, Inc. but a fake email address. They contacted me for an interview for a data entry position I never applied for on Linkedin and the interview was conducted via RingCentral app using the messaging part. I was hired immediately and they asked me to do a word doc assessment and in return I was “rewarded “ with a $4199.00 check to start up my home office. The check was emailed to me and I was told to deposit in my mobile bank account. I asked for a phone number to verify this and they stopped responding. I found the real HR person’s email and she stated it was a scam.
