I got a voicemail from a man who said he was Christopher Chambers with Ferguson Group USA; he claimed that his affiliates at Cornerstone Law USA were going to take it into civil claims court for a debt owed to Chase Bank. The debt was from October 2007. I received 2 more phone calls from this organization and eventually called them back. "hold on just a minute". The man got on the phone and said I owed this debt to chase and gave me the debt amount. He said if Cornerstone got a hold of it then it would cost me $6,690 to go to court. 3 options with installment of full balance, settle for 50% of debt owed ($1,329), or I could put $250 down and could pay it out in installments. He said they reopened it when I mentioned that the statute of limitations had expired. I couldn't find anything listed on these businesses so I figured it was a scam and got it confirmed by the ScamPulse.com and my local law enforcement.
