The person that said they were the hiring manager offered me a job, gave me an online interview through email and provided me an acceptance letter with the companies information/letter head. They sent me the W4 and offer letter. I completed both and signed. They stated that they will send me a check to purchase equipment but to cash check immediately and to purchase it through a third party vendor that they used. I spoke with a friend who works in cybersecurity and was advised it was a scam and have to be careful. I wish I knew this before completing the forms. Now I am concern about my information being out there.
