Scammer says that consumer is eligible for $8,000 grant issued by Federal Reserve. Activation code provided to consumer and consumer is asked to go to Western Union and purchase a pre-paid card to give the card number to scammers. Consumer is asked to place $200 on the card to be paid to scammers. Consumer is told that she will receive $3,2000 in cash and the remaining amount in check from Western Union. The scammers have Indian accents.
