We were called by JohnCavton at 202-670-4677 ext 112...said I was receiving 9800 grant money and to go to Wal-Mart and then call him back...we did so aid so he had us purchase $250 worth of Steam gift cards..called him back and he wanted he numbers on the back and that he would get back to us in 3 to 5 minutes...and he did..he told me I needed to call the bank to get the western union tracking number..so I called 2025564530that we would be reimbursed the $250 we spent on the cards..his name was David..he wanted us to send $500. More dollars..I told him no that I wanted reimbursed for the $250.00. He told me he had to get in touch with the irs to see if they would refund the $250.00..for me to call back in 30 mins....that's when we stopped

They call me claiming they were from the Federal Grant and Washington then they asked me to purchase two $100 iTune gift cards and give them the numbers on the back and then they will get with me then they gave me a different number and I call and wait about 20 minutes and then they wanted me to buy another $500 iTune card and give them the number and then they will give me a MoneyGram tracking number for me to get my money

The first phone call was with a lady with a very deep accent telling me that me and 1700 people from Oregon were chosen to receive federal grant money for$ 8700 from the government she verified some of my info and told me since I was a USA citizen that payed my taxes and have never filed bankruptcy that I qualified to receive $8700 that I never had to pay back. She went on to give me a grant ID number and a Second number to call back there account specialist (haha) I have to do it immediately so I did just to see how much info I could get from them. A guy with a very thick South African accent who called him self Alexander asked me if I understood why I was getting the grant I said yes and he still explained it to me again. He asked me how I would like it sent to me my personal bank account or money gram I said money gram so he said OK and said my money was ready for me and asked me a few times if I had my ID I said yes then he said OK your money can be ready in 25-30 mins BUT I had to register my name with the Federal reserve bank of new your and in order to do that i had to send them $225.00 that was 100% refundable when I pick up my grant money it would be added to the grant. So I was to get back $8925. So I told him OK sure what do I do he said keep me on the phone until you get the the money gram and say hello only when you get inside and I will walk you thru it and remember do not give anyone any of this information that way noone can access you account and you free grant money we can not give every one this deal so make sure you keep it a secret haha anyways I told him I wasn't keeping him on the phone because I had to drive and I would call him back. I never called back and he has since tryed calling me about 5 times a day never leaving a message.
