FEDERAL GRANT (ARRA) Reports & Reviews (1)

I received a phone call from a blocked number on my cell phone. It was a woman with an east indian accent telling me that I had qualified to receive a $7,000.00 government grant because I am not in debt, have paid my bills on time, and haven't filed for bankruptsy in the last 6 months. She explained that this was due to President Obama signing a bill called the American Recovery and ReInvestment Act (ARRA) from the year 2009. Then she gave me a customer number (NL224) after verifying my mailing address and my name and age (she already had this information), and proceeded to explain that I would have to call her manager, Mike Parker, at 305-447-7363 to receive the Grant. Once I called this number "Mr. Parker" (another person with an east indian accent) explained the process with me again to ensure that I "understood". He then told me that I would have to go immediately within the next 5 minutes to pick up the $7,000.00 money order at my nearest Western Union. When I explained to the self-proclaimed "Senior Accounts Manager" that I was at work and wouldn't be able to do that for at least another hour and a half, "Mr. Parker" stated that I would have to call back when I left work to complete the transaction and hung up.
