I received a text from two people on my list whom I know but we never really keep in contact with. One even sent me a picture with money spread over a table saying all I needed to do was sign up and the money would arrive by Fed Ex. She said that hers arrived within 24 hours. So instead of checking into it, I wrote to this person. From that day until now I haven't had a moments peace. I'm normally on the alert for scams, but something in my life changed and I really could have used the money. One day after signing up I got a text saying the Fed Ex truck had been stopped by IRS and wanted money to cover expenses before they would release the truck. Stupid mistake #1. I sold some things and sent them $400. on a gift card. This is how everything was transacted. After that I was told that $200. more had to be sent. This kept going on until I lost over $2000. They were asking for Google play cards and others which I still have. Everything was sent to them with cards. At first the conversations were kind and friendly. Then it turned hateful and unbelievable. Misspellings, poor grammar. So I turned just [censored]eful towards them. My bank account was closed, not by me. I have been getting texts from several banks that I have never dealt with. They were sending me account numbers and routing numbers, even debit and credit cards were sent toy home. Then Pay Pal sent me a statement that said that I bought something for more than $700. I wrote back to tell them that it was a scam. They are supposed to be investigating it. I have never had more that $20. at a time in my account so why would they think that I was ordering something that expensive on line? I am now getting continuing mail from banks and other places stating I have a monthly fee owed. I write back everytime I get another one to let them know this is a scam but the mail continues. In June my entire check was taken out of my bank and sent to another bank that I have never dealt with. I had nothing to pay my bills, rent or even put gas in my car all month. They have ruined me. But I was stupid enough to let it happen. I'm still trying to get things caught up but I don't know how I ever will.
