Contacted through Messenger by one of my FB friends about seeing my name on a list of grant being awarded. Claimed that she received hers the day after she paid her fees. Was directed to sight looked a beneficiary list and my name along with others I knew locally, but are not friends on Facebook. Stages 1 through 10 is what I could choose from, dependent on fees to be paid which supposedly to care of certificate, taxes and delivery. Of course, since it came from a friend that I had no reason to disbelieve I bought into it. Once I paid my fees, all of a sudden the so called Agent that was conversing with me informs me that the IRS stopped payment until I submit 5% of the amount I was receiving. Needless to say, I am out $2,000 of savings that was going to be used on grandchildren. I would never have believed this, but as I said a good friend on Facebook had contacted me first. I am certain after looking into this her account was probably hacked.
