On January 12, 2016, I received a call at 4:29 PM from Lynn Cheek Simon along with a picture stating, welcome to HHS. I was instructed to make my claim. I said hello my name is *** *** ***. She said, my name name is Lynn Cheek Simon from Department of Health and Human Services, give me your full name and address to see if you are eligible to receive money. The government was assisting partially disabled seniors. I stated my full name and address: *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** **. Lynn said ok, let me check if your name is still available on our HHS winners list. I waited. Congratulations your name was chosen as one of the lucky winners to benefit from this program. Kindly let us know when you are available to claim this money. I stated wonderful, I am ready and waiting. I was required to pay for case file and shipping fee. Once I paid the money I would receive $120,000.00. Lynn stated once I made the payment the winning money would be delivered to me. I asked what is the payment and what is it for. I was required to pay $800.00 for case file and delivering fee so that FedEX could deliver my winning money to my doorstep within five hours from now. Are you ready to make the payment. I said, no, I am now leary of a scam, I wasn't born yesterday, I am aware of senior scams. Lynn stated this is real and legitimate and I promise that the money will be delivered to you. I can, but there will be a record of it on my phone. Lynn then said your money will deliver to you in the next five hours to your payment. I was at a basketball game and she said go to a money gram store and I said can I contact you tomorrow. She asked for the address I was at and I stated I didn't know. No promises, I have to go, leave your information on the phone and I will contact you. I have not been contacted since; however, I was contacted today from the same lady.
