A week ago, I've went online to look for student loan forgiveness programs and found this company called Fed-Pro. They gave me a call saying that I was qualified for a program that will help lower my payments. They've stated that all I to do is pay three installments of $250 ($750 in total) claiming that it will be $599 altogether. Unfortunately, the first payment was made today and was taken out of my card in which I did close. And after all that was done, I just have to pay $10 for 120 months with the government paying some of the interest. Which sounded like a good deal (RED FLAG!) They've asked for my FSA id and income verification and to do that for every 12 months (More Red Flags!!) I then became skeptical and did some research and came across an article on the studentaid.gov website stating that legit programs will not do this, and my suspicions were confirmed, I've place fraud alerts and freezes on everything. I've even looked up the address of the location and it takes me to Law Office site. These people are SCAMMERS, ripping off students.
