This person reached out on Facebook Marketplace to inquire about an item I was selling. Asked for my phone number to send a code to make sure I was a real person for her safety. She sent a code to verify my phone. She said that I wasn't verified and asked for another phone number in my family. I did not give her another phone number and told her this looked like a scam. Never heard back. I deleted the code and reported it as junk on my phone. When I did, my phone asked me if I want to stop sharing my location with this person. Luckily, I caught it quick and none of my information was stolen. I reported it as scam on Facebook and now here. Beware of scammers like this that want to steal personal information off your phone. Let my mistake inform you.
