In November of 2018 a message popped up on my computer monitor saying basically my computer was infected and not to turn it off or I would lose everything that was on it. I should call the phone number that was shown immediately for resolution of the problem. To try and make a long story short, I called the number and was connected to someone with an (East) Indian (or similar accent) who says he is with Fast Resolve. $300.00 and a "lifetime support contract" later my problem has been supposedly fixed through a remote computer connection, and I go on my happy way.

In early July of 2019 a similar problem and message shows up on my monitor with a different number to call. So I call the number I've saved for Fast Resolve. I'm told I'll have to spend $300.00 to get resolution, but it will be reimbursed within 48 hours by FedEx. Payment is handled by "Google gift card". A couple of hours goes by and I get a call back that a different type of software will be needed and it will cost $500.00 more, but not to worry because it will ALL be reimbursed within 24-48 hours by FedEx. Another hour or two goes by and Fast Resolve calls me back with the news that the problem is fixed. The only thing that needs to be done now is to send (this time by Walmart gift card) $500.00 which FedEx requires for "security verification", but not to worry it will ALL be reimbursed by cashier's check sent by FedEx, of course.

I know this is sounding like a broken record and your probably thinking I am some kind of STUPID. I plead guilty, but there's more. I purchase $500.00 more worth of gift cards (because it will ALL be reimbursed within 24-48 hours) and again forward the card info by phone along with my mailing address. An hour or so passes and I get a call back saying the process didn't work because the address wasn't recognizable. When I ask them what they have for my address, it has one number wrong, and it will require another $500.00 to get everything corrected and finalized. Needless to say, the conversations that followed were high volume and someone wasn't very happy! I talked on the phone with three different persons total, two who said they were with Fast Resolve (Alex and Clark) in Grandville, MI (ear Grand Rapids), and one who said he was with FedEx (Ryan Smith - great alias!) in LA, CA. All three persons had a foreign (Indian?) accent. I've been swindled out of $1,800.00 total which I will never see. I hope this saves someone else from making the same mistakes I have made.
