Initial means of contact Text message
I was contacted via text that Fanex reviewed my resume and would like to interview me for a remote customer service position. They asked what platform I’d like to use for an interview Skype or Microsoft Teams. I was later informed someone from HR would be reaching out. Everything was conducted via text video was” not necessary “. They emailed an offer letter and employee handbook with watermark and a check for 3,400 and instructed me to deposit it via my mobile app. This was to be for equipment laptop, scanner etc. They were overly concerned about the check and less about the so called position.

This company said that they offered a work from home positions. They sent a check for 4500 to buy a laptop. I went to my bank and deposited the check. My bank called me and said that the check was fake. I tried to contact the company and they blocked me on everything.

I applied for a position as a dispatcher on LinkedIn then received a text from a "recruiter" about a day later saying they would like to move forward with possible employment. The first red flag was when they said I applied for a customer service position thru the text. 2nd red flag was when they stated the pay rate was $35/hr for entry level! 3rd red flag was when they was trying to pressure me to interview immediately and via Skype. 4th red flag was when I attempted to call the phone number from the site and it was just a continuous ring. 5th red flag was when I tried to look up legitimacy on the company they ScamPulse.com and Google and couldn't find anything. 6th red flag was when I looked up the address and it came up as a dentist office. When I requested the "recruiter" to confirm legitimacy they said "I don't think you are ready for this interview have a nice day".
