We were looking for a new puppy, and my partner cam across the scammer’s website, which was offering bloodhounds at a discounted rate (since they were older than when they usually are sold and they needed to “get them sold asap to make room for a new litter”). We paid $800 for the dog, another $220 for the cost of the flight from Colorado Springs to St. Louis, and another $1350 for a climate controlled crate for the cargo hold of the plane. I contacted the delivery service the breeder said they used, and was told the airline service and flight number of the plane. When I contacted the airline, I was told they no longer offer cargo hold pet travel, and that this was most likely a scam. I want to report this so that others won’t fall into the same trap as we did.
