I was attempting to purchase a basenji puppy over the internet and paid $955 for the puppy and shipping over this upwork app/website. Then the puppy was supposed to be shipped to me and i pick it up at the airport. Before the "puppy" was supposed to be shipped to me through this Eco Logistics "company" and they said i have to pay for a electronic crate for $1750 for my puppy to go in on the flight. Then they say my debt card wont work so i have to go to walgreens and walmart and get these credit/gift cards to pay for this electronic crate and send the pictures of the cards and receipts. So i did stupidly cause i wanted to believe i was getting this cute puppy for my kids that they were going to be so happy about. But then the next day they said i have to pay $2000-$2500 for insurance and they wanted me to use these "credit gift cards" again and run around to walgreens and walmart again. This time i said no its all to suspicious and if they were a real professional business they should be able to use my debit card. So we went back and forth for a while and i was done n didnt want the puppy anymore n i was done with the b.s.. But then the next day they call and say they shipped this "puppy" and it was only thirty minutes away and i only had to pay $500 more . And i said no im not paying the $500 and they shouldnt of even shipped the puppy, if their even was one, and send it back to the owner. So i contact the owner to get my money back and he says he cant give my money back till he gets the puppy back and needless to say i never got my $955 back from this "dog breeder" and they took all the $1750 off the credit/gift cards from walmart and walgreens. I contacted the support people at upwork.com that i paid the $955 to the puupy breeder thu and they tell me they can't do anything unless they can get ahold of the puppy breeder and he gives the money back. Like yeah right good luck with that. ive been texting calling emailing the puppy breeder and Eco Logistics that shipped the puppy and im never able to contact them or get a text, call, email or anything back. Im on disability and loosing $2705 is alot of money to me and im very irritated and upset about loosing that much money when all i was trying to do is get a puppy for my kids. Yes i feel like a complete [censored] for falling for this stupid scam.
