To BBB: I got an email from what I thought were friends saying a niece had died. The email address is the same except my friends don't use Outlook. The scammer must not be from the U.S., judging by the grammar. I expressed my condolences and I got this back:

***

Hello, thanks so much for your condolences and I'm glad to hear from you during this unpleasant time. She passed away after the long illness, Please I need a couple of these " Amazon or e-Bay " gift cards today for those Morgue attendants who took care of her body before upon arrival as promised to those women. But I'm not available to go down to the store right now as I'm currently preoccupied as we're busy making funeral arrangements to commence as follows. Could you please get any of those gift cards at any nearby local store or grocery shop for me; 3 pieces of 100$ denomination each (that should be a 3-physical card).

Once the card has been purchased, you should remember to peel off the silver surface on the back to reveal it pin then send/ attach me clear pictures of them on here and will reimburse you once I'm back definitely. Let me know when you will be picking it up. Can't thank you enough.
