The red flags were there, but I fell for the photos of a non-existent Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Same pictured someone else posted 🚩First, they insisted that I use PayPal Friends and Family. 🚩Then they wanted me to pay with my credit card. But the cost of the puppy was right, so I did what they asked. 🚩The price included a shipping fee of $200. Very cheap for a trip from Arkansas to Dallas and back. 🚩 Then we needed to pay $500 for driving insurance. The last straw was the $900 for a professional dog carrier. I got them down to $700, which I didn’t pay. Instead I called Edward Steve and accused him of scamming me. At that point, he shouted something and hang up on me. I tried to call him back, but no answer, of course. Edward is a dirty, rotten scoundrel, and no one should ever do business with him.

We had the identical experience up to the point of these people having a chance to ask for more money! We sent $1188.64 via PayPal for a puppy. We just lost my father 5 days ago and told them my mother was in desperate need of a puppy companion and they still stole her money! We have filed a case with PayPal to get her money back and they are helping us locate information for the authorities to track these scammers down!

I contacted Family Cavalier a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder about a puppy on their site. Everything seemed legit once we signed the contract and paid the money for the puppy and transportation of the puppy to my home. Then they sent a separate email (that did not look professional AT ALL) stating I would have to pay the breeder in cash $1500 for a special crate for the puppy to fly in as well as $310 in vaccinations. None of this was mentioned before, nor was it in the contract that we both signed. I called the shipping company the breeder claimed to be going through. They confirmed it was a scam and they would never ask me to pay cash for anything. They are now ignoring me and not refunding my money for the puppy we never received.
