Fake Sweepstakes Winner Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

- Columbus, GA, USA • Feb 09, 2024

I was contacted by someone claiming I had won an international sweepstakes. The total amount was initially stated to me as $2,500,000. I was being contacted by someone who identified himself as Ralph Summers. Ralph sent me paperwork via text message supposedly certifying my winnings and the company (Winners International Sweepstakes Cooperation) which seemed to be verified by the ScamPulse.com and the D.O.T.T. (Department of The Treasury). Mr. Summers told me that he needed me to send $2800 to Colorado Springs to cover the packages necessary to send me my winnings. I questioned why I wasn't able to use the winnings I received to cover the total and was told that it was "company policy" that I was to be paid my winnings in full. I complied on several occasions and sent money to Mr. Summers (via the name and account information he supplied) using cashier's checks and prepaid debit cards over several months. Mr. Summers continuously promised that the sweepstakes company would deliver my winnings but would always have an excuse or a reason why they were not able to deliver them that day or at that time.
