Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

A fake "invoice" arrived in the mail, (if needed I can scan this and email it to you) "notification of domain name registration due to expire in the next few months". It goes on to say "You must renew your domain to retain exclusive rights". The invoice is for 5 years for $278.25 (including 5% GST). This is the second one we've received, we had one last year as well and we posted it on Facebook to warn our friends and family. We did not pay, as we recognized the scam.
