We own our company's website domain. We are completely paid up on that service. We received an invoice from "Domain Systems USA" stating that our domain had expired and that we need to pay them $289. I have contacted the company we purchase our domain through and they have confirmed we currently own our domain and there is no reason to pay this other company anything. I have previously received similar looking documents from other companies, but they always say in small print somewhere that it is a solicitation for business and not an actual invoice. This does not say that anywhere. I feel that at the very least the sender is misrepresenting their company, but possibly is it a completely fraudulent business and they should be investigated.
