The letter said that my son’s credit card application with Best Buy was denied by Experian. He didn’t apply for a credit card. A couple of weeks ago he got a call saying that they were from Best Buy and needed his social security number to complete the application. He hung up. I called the number on the letter and a got a recording. I gave them the reference number on the letter and the next prompt was for his 9 digit social security number. This just smells bad You can’t talk to a person. It seems that the answering machine is having problems and goes directly to using the keypad
