Fake Check Job Offer Reports & Reviews (1)

- Mount Vernon, IN, USA

I received a text message from phone number 909-324-5643. It stated "Good day, This is Ambere, You have received this text regarding the Remote Data Entry Clerk from Dermaliq Therapeutics, Inc. The starting pay rate is $27.00/hr. You are required to download and set up signal on your app store (https://signal.org/) Kindly connect with the Staffing/Recruiting Manager on the signal app to begin your interview by searching with details below. Name: Stephanie Lynn Phone: +1 501-232-6648 Job ID: DT-INC12 Good luck." I had been applying for multiple positions through Indeed and assumed this was a legit job interview. I went through the questions and was told my next appointment will be scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8:00AM EST. I did so and received a job offer. She requested my full name and current address, cell phone and preferred email address. She reminded me that a payment will be made available to me, which will cover cost of my office equipment. She said I will receive a check. However, due to the delays associated with our personal courier services, the Company has decided to send me a check via my email. I would be required to deposit the check electronically using my mobile banking app. I did not feel comfortable doing this and said so. I also asked where she received my application...she has yet to respond.
