For initial contact, they hacked a friend’s Facebook Messenger to appear to be her. Then gave me a name (Linda C Ables) and phone number to text for more information about grants (GGF Program) that are available, posing as my friend. I asked what GGF was... they said Global-Green Grant Fund.

When I texted the number and asked for a website and more information, they had some odd replies in broken English with poor grammar, and gave me the website Fbcompensate.com. Upon review of the website it was obviously not legitimate. So I challenged the person appearing to be my friend to prove their identity. They ended the conversation at that point.
