Friends Facebook page was hacked and she couldn’t get into it to warn anyone. The hacker claimed her father was going into elder care and was she was selling all of appliances and equipment. Posted photos and prices for each. When corresponding with her, the imposter responded on her messenger account. Very realistic. Because she was a friend I was not suspicious. I sent deposits because she “was out of town”, and I could pick up the items and pay the balance when she was back. If I didn’t like it, she would give back the deposit. The imposter also sent texts posing as “Venmo”, claiming my payment was stopped due to fraud. So the imposter asked me to send it again, to a different account they had. Out of frustration I finally realized it was a scam. I was scammed out of a total of $1600.

Bought a miller welder online never received it

If needed proof I can email pics and photos can’t upload them here they too big I have whole conversation between us

The scammer used Facebook to advertise products then collected for it then wanted more money to ship a small amount of items when I refused and asked for a refund she said she’s only refunding 50 percent and not sending anything and she didn’t send anything and kept my Money

I have neuropathy from cancer treatment, so I am always trying new things to help. I was foolish enough to respond to a free CBD sample, just pay shipping ad on Facebook on Jan 12, 2019. I had difficulty using the website ordering and never completed the transaction and never got any confirmation and never agreed to a recurring charge. I got the initial bottle of CBD and no indication anything else would happen. I was charged $94.67 on Jan 25, the day my card statement period ended, so I did not see that yet. In fact, I just went online to see it and the charge isn’t visible, but the Citi agent said it was charged that date. I received nothing more and was just charged again, Feb 11. This time my Citi Visa card company flagged a possible fraud and texted me. They gave me the company name Giddymiraclestestostrn from the transaction and the phone number 833-895-5821. That phone number has been disconnected and I find no such company online. The Citi Visa company has canceled the recurring charge. I doubt I’ll ever get my $94.67 back from January, but they will not get more. I would not have agreed to that price when I can get the same size and at least as good quality CBD locally for about $40.00. As I have nothing in writing, yet, I have no documents to share yet. I am in the process of moving and the “free” bottle is at my other house. I did not save the packing materials, as I just thought this a one-off free sample. I thought they would contact me with an offer to buy more, They did not. They just charged my credit card.

I am submitting this immediately after speaking to Citibank fraud division who recommended I report to you. I called them immediately after receiving a fraud alert from them at about 11 pm 2/10/2019 for a 2/11/2019 transaction.
