Scammer posed as a trusted friend on social media. Was very informative and had good english and follow through. Very similar personal characteristics of the friend I assumed i was buying rhe car from. Followed through with transaction via paypal before i had caught on that they were hacked.

I posted an iten for sale on Facebook marketplace and "a woman" replied with a Massachusetts number wanting mine to talk. I was using my husbands phone and texted her that the item was available, "she" then wanted to send a 6 digit code " to verify the post". so "she" only has my phone number. I blocked "her" before replying for the code.
