I swear I am the epitome of young and dumb, but these people will have a pop-up that claims they're tech support with Windows. I am assuming they try and pass themselves off as tech support for whatever your computer has whether it's Apple or Windows. They claimed they service both, and when asked if they were a third party tech support they said they were and said they are based in New York. If you so happen to have dialed their number these hackers type out on your computer in a notepad memo, all creepy like, they will run around in circles saying the same exact things while smacking on whatever food they're eating. Totally professional. Seems legit. She also kept asking me if I had personal information saved like passwords, bank account numbers, and other sensitive personal information. My suspicion sky rocketed when she had asked if my social security number was saved somewhere on my laptop. Who just does that anyway? Okay, there's that, and then when this slob of a representative transferred me to "customer service" to take my bill I tried to strike up a conversation and asked if the representative on the line was staying warm in the bitter New York winter. Now I got really nervous when he said he was in India, which explains their accents, and then I asked if their company had service centers internationally. He said things that didn't clear up or directly answer my question, he just said that they are based in New York. That's it. Just, "oh, we're based in New York" as if he didn't just say he himself was in India. Hmm. Okay. Now we all know how things went down for me, obviously, my dummy self didn't act on my instincts and flat out hang up on these people, no, I actually gave them the card number to my secondary credit card. After giving them my credit card information I actually did hang up to check if they really did charge my card, and real quick-like they did. All 300 dollars stabbed into my account. Apparently my bank knew this fraudulent "company" and took the charge off completely, thankfully, and when I went to check my laptop they still had control over my laptop and typed in a Notepad memo if I was still there, and why I wasn't answering the phone. Uh, creepy much? To this day I get excessive amounts of calls in a week from these people. The same two people, a man and a woman, probably from India and nowhere near the USA. I gave as many phone numbers as I could so y'all can have as much numbers possible for them, and I'm sure I'll receive different calls from different phone numbers from them down the line. Their website is no longer available unfortunately, and my laptop has been wiped clean so I can't get any screenshots for ya.
