Type of a scam Employment
After applying to a job listing for Video Editor at Ezra Productions on LinkedIn, I received an invitation to continue the next step in the process. I received an emails from Ms. Therese Gotlib from Mr. Justin Wehner with instructions on the next steps. I was asked to complete a Questions and Answer to progress, asking about my work and problem solving skills.
As we proceeded with the onboarding process, I was asked for sensitive information for a background check to a Justin Wehner at EDD in Califonia. before I was to receive an offer letter and told the job would provide a budget for new office equipment if I needed it; such as, a new iMac computer, desk, shelf, etc. A day later, I did receive the check and went to deposit it in my bank account, but the check failed and was told there was an error and I would be receiving a new one in the mail.

I called into the through another number than what I had been provided and learned that the job listing was fraudulent and began to report the event.
