Received phone call telling us that our time devices would no longer work without protection they were offering. The individual even walked us through process on one of our devices. The other device still works,without the "update". When we suspected a problem and tried to call back,no one answered

Please don't fall for this scam

While trying to get the sound back on my RUKU device, I was had to restore my device to factory settings. While doing so I was told on my TV screen to call a toll-free number to finish the re-installation of my ROKU. Once I did that I was told by the "tech" that I now had to pay $99.00 to ROKU for having more than 3 devices in my home. They knew I had four devices. They had my address and phone number, AND they had control of my TV set! So I believed them. Also, they restored the sound on my ROKU device. I thought they were legit.

So I gave them my AE card info and paid the money. But when they texted me a contract I had to sign I finally got suspicious. Despite all the signs that showed otherwise, this didn't seem right. I quickly Googled them while they waited on the phone and saw the ScamPulse.com warning about this exact scam. I hung up the phone. They have been writing and texting me continuously to get me to sign that contract.
