'Shirley Nathan' posted a fake Craigslist ad in Sacramento CA. for 1 Black Ragdoll kitten, and when I got in touch with her, she sent me pics and videos of 2 different Ragdoll kittens, stating she and her husband could no longer keep the 2 kittens, their apartment did not allow them. We exchanged numerous emails, she told me I was her top choice for rehoming the kittens, as I expressed my desire to keep them both together since they were bonded. Said she made a mistake posting the 'Black Ragdoll', but did not offer amy further explanation. Was asking me where I lived and I described, which is when she said they lived in San Diego, and Craigslist must have made a mistake with the posting. Said she and her husband knew a reputable pet transportation company in San Diego, and they would send the kittens using that company. She requested my shipping information and phone number, and said the company would then reach out to me with further instructions about payment. The company reached out to me 3 different times - for the initial shipment fee of $350, next with an urgent email and call requesting requirement for a special crate to rent or purchase (I rented for $1000 because they said it had to be a thermal electric temperature controlled crate or the kittens could experience internal bleeding during air transport and die), and then lastly reached out to me with another urgent email and call stating the kittens needed additional vaccinations and local certificates before they could be released from their overnight facility in San Francisco, and then driven down to me in Sacramento CA. I objected to approving vaccinations from a Veterinary Doctor I did not know or approve. They stated I could be charged with animal abuse if I did not comply, because of abandoning the kittens at the facility, as my name was listed as the Owner/Recipient. The subject matter of the last 2 events were also unprofessionally emailed to me, with inaccurate information and DID NOT state the company logo or contact info anywhere. Each call I expressed my concern at how this was being handled, and was told there would be no issues at all and that the last two fees would be fully refunded upon arrival of the kittens. At no point did they allow payment via Credit/Debit card, and sent me 2 different personal email addresses for Zelle payment, which I asked about because it seemed unusual. I informed 'Shirley Nathan' about each single event and she pretended to be concerned and continued to ask me to let her know when I received the kittens safely. I was supposed to receive kittens today Dec. 27 at 1pm, and when I made several attempts to check that status of their arrival, I received no communication back from Customer Service or from Shirley Nathan. The kittens never arrived, the tracking status was inaccurate and never updated, and all communication from the shipping company stopped. When I called the Customer Service number numerous times, there was now of course no answer, and no professional outgoing message, just simply went into a random voicemail.
