Car Dent repair scam. A registered sex offender and violent convicted felon named Butch Ephrim is going door to door claiming to work for express auto body. He claimed the company was out doing mobile repair work. He came to our door with a sales pitch about being a retired navy veteran, losing work due to COVID 19, and that he has been doing body work for 25 years. he had all of the tools to do the work with him and started grid the rust off l my truck before I agreed so he could show me his “good work” at this point he had ran the grinder on my doors and cut off the back corner on my truck cab and covered it with spray paint. He then proceeded to tell me that he needed to let the repairs dry and he would be back tomorrow but needed the money today. I hesitantly paid him after he became slightly aggressive when I told him I would give him half now and the other half when the job was complete. I paid him once I became uncomfortable with the situation and he aggressively demanded the money (prior to knowing his background). He was driving a new black Chevy Silverado I believe to be a rental with a South Carolina license plate HDR 1837
