Type of a scam Phishing
Some how got a pop-up to show up on my parent's computer that said the system was hacked and they had a virus. They instructed them to dial a 1-877 #, in which they did and then they had them download an Application Sharing Software in which they then required them to let them access my computer using it. They proceeded to compromise other accounts on the computer including Social Media Accounts and others. They asked my parents for their checking account info among other personally identifiable software.
They continue to try to phish information via Facebook and Their Computer. They have had to disconnect the computer and internet as their computer is compromised. This will cost them a lot of money.
This company and anyone involved in their phishing scam should be investigated and charged:
