Booked and paid for the hotel through Egencia/Expedia. Hotel charging an additional fee because they say Expedia didn’t give them the full amount. Expedia says it was the negotiated rate and the hotel cannot add on more to the negotiated rate. Hotel management person suggested I just let it go because I got a good rate anyway. My receipt from them is different than what my credit card was charged. They are saying it is because Expedia doesn’t give them the full amount. They are even hanging up on Expedia. Never has this ever happened with any hotel I have stayed in. Give a receipt that is way different than what was charged. Ignore their negotiated and paid for rate on Expedia, and then say your better off just to let it go…seems like a scam right in plain site in beautiful Ojai.

I sent a complaint to the BBB, Dept of Transportation and Alaska Airlines about airfare funds not credited (2022). The scammers had all my information in an email. They called my cell phone and attempted to get my credit card number to provide a refund as credit. They said they could give me the credit on ANY credit card. He said he was from India. Sandeep Negi is the name on the email he sent. I wanted verification so he sent me an email ; the email contained my personal information such as my name and address and full itinerary of my trip.

Expedia is no go

Expedia has changed terms/conditions of cancellation twice AFTER I reserved and paid. I have documentation, but no one will review it. If you use Expedia, print out the policy at time of reservation and don't pay in advance. For me, I will use another agency.
