A gentleman called our business claiming to be from a company named "Executive Imaging" and requested to speak to whoever made decisions about our vendor choices. He went into a pitch about their toner and sending us a sample, and I agreed to the sample since we are just starting out a new office. The "salesman" said great, and when it arrives "don't give the ups guy a dime." The entire time he never mentioned a price or an invoice just that we try it out and if we like it, we can order. He gave me his number in case I wanted to call back with questions, and said their shipping department would be in contact the next day. I got a call from the "shipping department" the next day, however it sounded like the same guy. He confirmed the type of toner and our address, and then said to try it out the next time we ran out of toner and then to please "pay the invoice of $329 after we saw that the toner was a good product." $329 for toner is....ridiculous. The call was so quick (purposefully, I'm sure) that I didn't catch it at first. A few minutes later I called the number he had originally given me and left a voicemail that I had a question. He called back a few minutes later and acted as though he had never talked to me before. I told him that we were under the impression that it was a free sample and if there is going to be an invoice attached to it, we don't want it. He immediately got rude with me and asked if I was sure because "it didn't sound like I had executive decision making on the matter." I ensured him I did, and he hung up. He then called back maybe half an hour later and asked if someone had followed up with me, and when I said yes they did (it was him, duh) and we wanted to cancel the order he said "yes I was the one you talked to" very rudely. So, why the call back then? The entire thing made no sense. I decided to google the "business" name and many other stories like mine came up. This is a total scam, and I wouldn't be surprised if we do receive toner and an invoice - that we will NOT be paying.
