I applied for the tablet. It is a BLU tablet and I received it way back last year. I do have WiFi at my home because I have smart tvs. As a senior it was getting difficult getting online with my android phone with my eye sight so back on these smaller screens. I didn't pay no fee to get it and receive it free from them. I used it every day only I used it with my home WiFi 90% of the time . I only used it on their data when I was away at oncology. I would get a text message every now and then saying if I want to keep my tablet reply yes but you must use the tablet. I notified them to tell them I was and have been using that tablet . You know what the reply back was that I only used it a few times since I had it and they even told me where I went online to use it. After hearing that reply and hanging up I went into my account history and activity you know what I discovered they were absolutely right they knew exactly where I went , what I search and they were right on the date with it. It was also when I disconnected from the WiFi and used their data that tracked my history. . This made me feel like I was being spied on . As a suggestion if you use it and use their service be careful not to use your banking paying bills etc. Keep an eye on your passwords especially logging in to account searching through that little world to get on internet instead of going through Google . The service may be located in the Carolinas but that tablet is China made There is no telling now who has a hold of your personal data.

Took money out of my account stating I qualify for the service and that my tablet is on the way.
I've not seen it and I've tried talking to customer support and they give me any answers as to why I haven't received it. They shuffle me around from one person to the next, still no answer!

They told us after 3 days to sell devices if the customer doesn't pick them up. About 90% of everyone I enrolled was de enrolled without explanation and my first check was 400 short. A Sex offender runs this company and they also have underage employees illegally working.

The people are nutts. I have been trying to get a SIM card. I must ,have talked to 15 people. All I will hear is DO YOU WANT TO USE THIS SERVICE. And the only answer is how can I use them without a SIM card. I think you can train a ape to do what they do

I saw thread for benefits for people on government assistance and the discount they provided for internet services after reading through all of the information it’s says the dates of past times examples
Beginning march 1 2021 and 2022. I don’t understand if they are back dating or this is copy and pasted from something that might have been legitimate at that date. But either way that was the first red flag, and then I didn’t like providing my personal information, something just kept telling me this was a scam. So I tried searching for the company other places than Facebook and my search brought me here, further confirming my suspicions of scam, this site was my last stop. I will not be signing up with excess telecom. As bad as I need savings I don’t need to be taken for a fool. Hopefully they are not able to get information through Facebook to go ahead with their obtaining information of the needy.
This is absolutely disgusting behavior and tactics to take from the vulnerable people.

Hi I received a free tablet from Telecom and I don't know if this is legit or not. I don't trust this. I know that they are trying to steal my information. I don't trust this. I did not sign up for Telecom and I did not order a tablet

My husband applied for a tablet. The man in the tent that enrolls you for a government tablet said he wasn't approved. Now we find out through text that there is a tablet out there that was achieved through my husbands information...Very unhappy with this employee of their's.

Somehow, this telecom service along with several others, are obtaining customers’ vital info and ACP approval identifiers to continuously de-enroll them from their existing telecom providers (then switching their accounts to their companies). They’re quite evil in their ruthlessness and duplicity. In my case, I was receiving a discount on my home phone service - thanks to the ACP program - but then I was unceremoniously de-enrolled from the program and suddenly switched to Excess. I was not contacted, consulted, or even notified of this change until my original provider began billing me again at pre-discount levels. I never received a tablet or cellphone from this company either (nor would I want one). It’s apparent that these fly-by-night telecom hucksters have some boiler room scam or conspiracy going to defraud the government out of money that should be applied to legitimate telecom companies. Their greed and shadiness, however, compels them to grasp even more than what they’re entitled to. A watchdog needs to be empowered to end this thievery on their part. A very unscrupulous, corrupt service!

Yes I'm with you in all that was said how can we do something about this all as a former excess telecom field agent I have had many people come back to me and tell me and show me that this fraud is going on with the devices and there phone accounts they pay for thru a ligit phone company but somehow there free government tablet shows up on there personal phone bill and tries
charging them fees and bills have been charged for a free government tablet

I got a tablet about two months ago. After a few days, it stopped working, and I wasn't able to get in touch with them because their number doesn't work or they have me wait more than 20 minutes. after 10 days of tentatives, I was able to talk to someone who seemed to be sleeping before answering the call. he was really ignorant in addition to his very weak ability to talk in English, which made me feel embarrassed for not being able to explain to him what happened. Finally, he decided to send me a new SIM, which never worked till now. I had to keep trying for days and days to get in touch with them, and finally, I was able to, and the same thing happened again. IN CONCLUSION, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS LOW-QUALITY COMPANY

Very similar to what happened to me. I received my tablet and my service stopped working after a few days. I ended up just canceling my service with them and I'm currently looking for a different service provider.

I am a senior citizen who was * qualified* ? To get a tablet through this company. I wanted one because it was easier for viewing the screen. After about 5 months the sim card suddenly stopped working. I googled the company and have been calling. The agents are not knowledgeable, unprofessional, and practice passive aggressive forms of harassment. I call, they say they set appointments for tech reps to call, who never call. If they call they let the phone ring twice and hang up.
They never record enough information to mark your account of the pending issue. I got tired after 21 days of calling them with no intelligent response on their end . I finally blocked them because they would call and just hold the phone breathing ...
I just started reporting them to my State Attorney Gen. Ofc. for abuse and fruad of a vulnerable elderly adult...and a report with the State of California, which showed up as location of the company. But I have a feeling this is just a **Shell company and they are in China where this junk tablet was manufactured. In the meantime, y'all vote some of these official out of office who have contracted our call centers outside of US borders.

This is similar to what happened to me. Tablet stopped working after a few days. contacted customer service and support didn't get my issue fixed. Like what you said they we're very passive aggressive in their responses about my "complaint".

The tablet is stuck in airplane mode. One of your techs called me we tried to fix it over the phone even though I told him it's completely frozen only volume button works will reset but stays in airplane mode .
He said he was going to do some investigating on the product and get back to me . W in a couple hrs he returns the call and we try a few things ( the same things we did 4 times before ) didn't work .
He then tells me to get a hold of Blu since it's only been about 20 days that it should be covered under warranty . So I call ACP first they say the same thing get a hold of Blu for warranty information .
Well I contacted Blu very rude customer service very short and to the point once they realize it was part of government program . I was told they only cover tablets that was purchased that they don't and never will cover a product of theirs thats part of a government assistance program. Well someone had to paid for this tablet some how unless Blu just giving them away cause their a junk product that's why Blu doesn't stand behind their products!

I made the mistake of applying for one these free tablets. At first I thought it was cool and that it would be beneficial as a supplement to use when I wanted something bigger than my cellphone to watch something or whatever. The camera didn't even work and after I stopped using it, the "customer service" kept blowing up my phone with what I'm assuming we're computer generated phone numbers, of which I would add to my blocked calls list because they usually came up on my caller id as spam. I eventually got sick and tired of them continuously calling my cellphone multiple times daily, so I answered it and told them that I was no longer interested in their service to keep the tablet with their free service. They still kept calling me after I told them I didn't want to use the tablet anymore. So I politely told them kiss my [censored], etc. and hung up on them. The dude called me back after a few minutes, which was super weird, like he was really offended. Long story short, these [censored]ers are stupid and harass you if you stop using their free tablet and service.

This company offers free tablet to sign up for their internet. It didn’t let me and others know that it is an internet company and gave us random numbers to cancel the internet. I had to do my own research. I contacted their general support chat but they weren’t helpful at all. They say to call their number. I called their number many times. I either got hung up or left with the message machine. They had not got back to me.
