So I call this(877.484.2620)number to pay my Evergy electric bill. They said Evergy was offering a discount promotion off electric bills in certain areas. Then requested the address I wanted to pay and the account number, told me I qualified for the promotion. Asked for my card info to make $110 payment, my address and zip and finalized the payment, all in the name of Evergy. However, Evergy has no record of such payment nor promotion. The actual amount I was supposed to pay Evergy was$123.74. I called back and asked if they were truly affiliated with Evergy and was told they were. I asked if qualified for the promotion as if I didn’t already speak with one of them and they stated I qualified for a discount and only had to pay $100 this time and had No pending payments on my Evergy account so I would need to pay the discounted amount. Gave me XPromotionSolutions as the promotion code and confirmation number as 3071961 because I asked. I spoke with a male the first call and a female the second call. Once I realized they were liars I called them scammers and they hung up on me, but not before they got my info and the $110 I paid using my debit card.
