Eventbrite allowed a third party to sell tickets to a concert on their website. The tickets were a fraud. They never checked to make sure they were legitimate. They refuse to own their mistake and pay us back. Now we're out 877 dollars. I'm sure a lot more people have lost a lot of money because of them.

I purchased tickets through Eventbrite a third-party seller. The tickets were not legitimate tickets, they were fraudulent, and we were not granted entry into the show as a result. This was confirmed by the venue, in person and at the time and date of the show for the tickets in question. The venue box office also provided documentation to support our claim and help in aid in recovering the money lost on the purchase of these inauthentic tickets (was unable to upload this document through BBB). There were 2 other individuals also victims of this criminal. He needs to be flagged and banned from the eventbrite website and charged with theft by the authorities.

Ticket to a musical event was sold via Eventbrite with instructions that the address to the event would be released on the night of the event. The address with everybody’s, and no response was made to attempt with Email.

He set up a fake eventbrite to sell fake tickets for an event that didn’t need tickets. he admitted in an email that as soon as “it got too packed” they let everyone in for free but refused my refund after the fact. i talked to security of the event when i was there and was told me there was never an eventbrite for the event. he told me i would get a refund in the emails and then denied my refund. he blamed eventbrite for withholding his money from the event, even though i found out eventbrite only holds for 5 days after the event and he was lying. he is planning on doing it next year and have other accounts for other events that i’m sure are also a scam.

A couple of friends and I repeatedly seen the advertisement for The Smoker Social in Kansas City and decided we would go -only for there to never been an event to participate in the entire time. We chose not to participate in the last event because the location continued to change and there wasn’t a way to contact the organizer. However this time around the tickets were sold through a service called Eventbrite like a third party between local events and participants’ information. We purchased the tickets per the advertisement -the space changed so we went to the address on the online tickets. After arriving to both addresses we were instructed the event was ‘over’ and invited to neighboring events. -noting to do with each Smokers Social keeping in mind each event is around a Holiday/Eventntful time in Kansas City. I reached out to previous friends to see if they’d have better experiences but each story was similar. Purchased the tickets because they seen the event on Social Media. Once they arrive nothing is there. Neighboring events trying to invite you in but you have to pay for their event separately. No refund because you can’t contact the organizer. I attempted to contact Eventbrite whom I purchased the tickets through advised they can’t refund their service fee of roughly $7 and the tickets have to be refunded through the organizer would first ‘declined refund’ and once I attempted to reach out directly using the process provided by Eventbrite directly the organizer ‘declined contact’ both companies wiping their hands of the matter. The Smoker Social isn’t a real event and Eventbrite isn’t holding them accountable! People arocas the City are continuously being scammed out of time and funds!
