I received my bank statement from Huntington Bannk and saw an unauthorized transaction for $0.20 (twenty cents) from my debit card. The account will be closed. But it is the principle of the matter that this unauthorized transaction took place on Oct 2, 2023. The bank dispute case is #21107189. After contacting the bank, I called headquarters for Etsy.com after several failed #'s. The number (833)358-6610 went through. The man on the phone had a heavy Middle Eastern accent. He initially asked for clarification of the disputed amount "$20,000.00 or $2,000.00" and tried to excuse the transaction saying "That was an accident. May I get your information to return the money?" I replied that was no accident. That was a calculated withdrawal. Let me speak to your manager." He said "ok, one moment please" then put me on hold. He came back on with a lowered voice, pretending to be another man. I told him "No youre not! Youre the same guy, you just lowered your vouce! If you cannot be honest with a small issue like a 20 cent dispute, I cannot imagine how you treat your larger investors." I informed him I was reporting him for identity theft.
