On September 04, 2023, I, Selina Green contacted Enclave of Riverdale apartments on my son's behalf. He and my grandson had become homeless. When I contact the property I explained fully and honestly my intent. I told the company that I lived in Florida and I was seeking help for my family. I explained that I was putting everything in my name for my son. At this time I was told to complete the application online and pay $250.00 which included $50.00 application fee and $200 administration fee. I paid the money as requested and then I was informed that it would take 72 hours for processing. I continue to call I spoke to (3) different people. I received an email stating I was being evicted for $2800 I called sorry that was sent in error. Your employer has not verified your information they received that (2 weeks) has gone by still being mislead. I call again now its my background from 1997 - I get another email so I call in an get the Manager Gabriel. If you get me something from the courts I will submit it to corporate. Call again on Saturday 09/23/23 to check the status. I'm told to hold the manager on the other line and I would receive a call back. I received the call back stating I was approved for $400 down $250 off October and $500 move-in credit. I asked if my son could come in on Wednesday to pay the down payment - I had (72 hours) my son went into the apartment office and was granted to pay the deposit on Wednesday 09/27/23. My son Danyale Gary goes in with the money order to pay completes the money order given apartment number I-07 with a move-in date of October 5th. Now he's being refused stating I don't live or work in Georgia and he has to be on the lease and have to pay more money to run his background. If I was told they could not help me at the beginning I would have not wasted my time or money for almost a month when my son and grandson are homeless. They take your money then no one wants to own up to the lies that were told to get the $250.00. I truly feel like I was deceived to get the money and then turned down so they can keep the money. I've lost $500.00 trying to get a place and keep them with food and shelter. I contact corporate and spoke with Beth Patterson she was looking into it and I never received a call back from her. I just want my money back for being mislead and given a place to stay then revoked.
