I received a text stating they needed a home inspection, when I asked if they were the owner of the property, they told me they were but when I looked up the property in the tax records, their name was not on the property. I looked online and found a story out of middle Tennessee, stating that a very similar scam was taking place there. The words they used to describe the text were almost verbatim. They are still waiting for me to send them my address and information so they can send me a check but I thought I wouls just turned them in while they were waiting. The phone number they used was 931-248-1478..
