I fell for a housing scam. I paid a $500 security deposit to fake landlord, Eric Walk, [email protected], after responding to the craigslist ad. His grammar in our correspondence was poor. He used a fake Christian mission alibi as an excuse for being out-of-town and unavailable for a viewing. I became suspicious. I went to the property and spoke to the inhabitants, who confirmed the scam.
