We received a call from Eric Foster, allegedly from Canada Revenue Agency. Person had accent and spoke in hesitant English. We were told to reply immediately with our Social Insurance Number or we would be under investigation by CRA. The message did not ask for one of us by name or SIN number. This raised our suspicions that this was a scam. I looked up recent scams on this (BBB) website and saw a report of a scam perpetrated by person of same name (Eric Foster, CRA) using a different phone number.
