Type of a scam Home Improvement
When we got done discussing the project we decided to do business with them. The owner asked for 1/2 down & 1/2 to be paid upon completion of the project. We agreed & paid the owner $3500 down.
We never saw the owner or the money again. We called the Wayzata police department and they determined that the owner was being detained in another state for some reason. We tried to contact the business several times without success.
We decided to not pursue a legal resolution due to thinking it might cost even more by the time we were done with the mess.
Then, one day out of the blue (several months after our first encounter) the owner calls us and wants to know if we still want the work done. We said we did not because we had by now contracted with another company. We requested that the owner return our down payment. He told us he would drop it off the next day but that was last July or August and he never showed up to pay us back.
So, my recommendation when it comes to this company is "Buyer Beware".
