We have been on the market for a pug for a few months and we were able to find a breeder that was in the DMV area. We were hesitant to drive 6-7 hours for other breeders so we decided to go with this business in particular. The gentlemen was very courteous and sent a lot of information about the puppy we were inquiring about and said they were in Springfield VA so immediately I opted to go with this particular breeder. The site looked legit and after speaking with the man I felt comfortable to move forward with the purchase. He mentioned the pup was available and that they had contract carriers to deliver pups. The carrier would send an email with estimated delivery time. A few hours passed and I had not received anything so I reached out to the man and he said the pup had been picked up so now I needed to contact the carrier company. Well the carrier company said there was a problem and they required insurance which was a payment of $900. I reached out to the original guy and he never responded. My husband called and they didn't take his call. I really hope they are shut down because although We were skeptical at first the call made it so much better and they just knew what to say for us to go through with the purchase.
