Late September of this year, 2018, I ordered a dvd of Showboat-Live From Lincoln Center, for $26.97. After several weeks had elapsed, I emailed the company about my order and received no response. I then, called them, and heard a recorded message in a male’s voice, which was rather rambling about they were improving, something about the light at the end of the tunnel - all evasive and without any explanation about delayed orders or expected dates of shipments. After a few days, I tried again, but to no avail, with the same message. When the charge appeared on my Visa Statement, I still had not received my dvd. I called my bank and they conducted a search. They credited my account and later sent me confirmation that the merchant’s banks accepted the claim against them. What is revolting is that this online store, which is quite elaborate in construction claiming to be able to acquire hard to get dvds, is still operational and immersed in holiday advertising. My order was not expensive and I was credited the amount, but their deliberate evasion by not posting their location and not responding to either emails or calls, and charging accounts without sending the product is blatantly criminal. They should not be allowed to function online.
