Dr. Allak is an ENT. He is an in-network provider with BCBS Federal, so we would just owe co-pays on any medical services. He performed surgery on my son's sinuses and deviated septum. All went well until we received a bill for the post-op visits. Instead of regular post-op office co-payments of 25 - 40 dollars per visit, the bills stated that the post op visits were being billed as sinus surgeries, since the Dr put a light and a pair of surgical tweezers up my son's nose to check out how things were looking post-op. Each one of these post op visits were charged at $1000 dollars each. After insurance, we owed $150 per visit. We had 3 of these visits, since he stated they were necessary. That's $450 dollars we have to pay out now for so called post-op visits. It's unbelievable the dishonesty in this world!!
