Minutes after being hired, I received a check for $3,589 via email in PDF with instructions to print the cheque on regular paper and write on the back, "Mobile Deposit Only." Sign it, then deposit the cheque via my bank's mobile app; however, the cheque was from an individual and not from the company SINOSTEEL Corp.

Once deposited, I was to use the funds to purchase my home office equipment, supplies, and software from their vendors.

I contacted Wells Fargo Preventive Fraud Center and was advised not to deposit the cheque to avoid criminal activity.
