Robert Somel is the man that I dealt with. Robert explained that he was a Navy officer and that breeding dogs was his second job. He has a website for breeding English bulldogs or Merit breeders. He showed me pictures and sent information on multiple dogs that were for sale on his website. On the website it said it was a credited 2020 AKC English dog breeder. I looked up all the info and didn't see any fraud or bad comments. I thought this was a good person. He charged me $ 700.00 for the puppy. I paid through Zelle under his wife account. He explained how I would get the dog. Never told me about the extra fee for travel. Robert said the dog was $600.00 and the extra $100 was for shipping. I then get a email from freightairunited.com a day later and then a phone call from1-213-260-2578. James Matthew said he was from pet airways and he wanted me to pay another $1500 to ship the dog. He told me to pay it through the website and it asked a lot of personal information like social security number. I said that I was not comfortable with this so he called me. James then called me from1-616-319-1257 and said I can pay through Zelle at [email protected]. or I could use PayPal and send it to [email protected]. He claimed I would get the money back when I got the dog. I said no and called Robert the dog breeder and explained that I wasn't comfortable with this and wanted my money back. He didn't want to send my money and then asked if I could pay half for the shipping. I said no. Robert then said he would refund the 700.00 back to me and never did.
