In looking for employment, I received a text message from Karen Pickett at Energizer Holdings for a part-time job $20/hr for 5 days a week at 25 hours. She was sending me a check to purchase office equipment for $3500 and I was to keep $500 for 1st week of work. She would be in touch for training once check received. The check was bogus. It was from Citibank and Select Equity Group, L.P. 380 Lafayette St, 6th floor, NY, NY 10003. Check would not be accepted during mobile deposit. I called bank and they indicated number it's probably fraud (I would be on the hook for the $3500 if it had been deposited as the money appears as pending and then disappears the next day.) I called her number, no answer just ext 1000 to leave a message. I looked up address and the address from recipient Charles Denney, 542 West 1st Ave, Eugene, OR 97402 was in the middle of Oregon highway. Deleted and blocked her number 630-296-5942.
