Today I received a call from a private number, on my caller ID, he said his name was Daniel and that I was due for a refund of $299.00 from computer tech support that I had gotten for my computer last year. I asked what computer did they have listed for this supposed support, he said he didn’t have that information in front of him. He asked my to go on my computer and type wwwyahoo.com, then asked what do I see which was the search window and had me type in 701.268.688, which then I saw something being downloaded he then asked me to repeat the information to him so he knew that I had the number right. I asked if he was trying to gain access to my computer remotely, he said no, that he wanted me to write on my notepad the information he wanted, I turned it around and asked him what his name was and his phone number as I told him it showed up as Private caller on my caller ID. He said his name was Thomas Bell 1800-431-8042. I had such a hard time understanding him he had a heavy accent. Once he gave me the information he proceeded to go to my settings to my accounts, I asked what he was doing? He was looking for the notepad, I said that he looked like he was gaining access to my computer, I started to tell him that I didn’t trust him as he was now in my accounts settings starting which it looked like he was going to change my password. I said that this is not right and it sounded like a scam, then I said this is bull*** and hung up. I shut down my computer, then I turned it on and searched about recent scams. I went through my downloads and uninstalled the “go to assist” program. I didn’t find out anything else about it. I can see how people get sucked in, everyone wants a refund or win something.

The guy tried to call me again but this time the caller ID said Empros IT Solutions 1-184-443-1084.
