Greetings! I’ve been physically injured and have been applying for “at home” or remote jobs via several mediators, including careerbuilder or careerbuilder.com, where I updated, as well, uploaded the updated resumé. I was literally overwhelmed with the quick responses from several recruiters from “Healthcare Groups” for “Data Entry” and other CSR (Customer Service Representative) positions. I did my due diligence researching a few I felt prepared to continue with… but after downloading a messenger app., called Signal, with other options, as Skype or WhatsApp. to continue with the interview, the recruiters name was different from the email sent claiming to be the help desk of Florence Healthcare Group, plus I was asked after being accepted in the interview to send $175 for a tracking device, which they said I would be reimbursed with after my first paycheck. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and proceeded. After several failed attempts to send money via Apple Pay, CashApp, and Zelle, (which didn’t go through for any of the above stated), I felt more suspect when they asked me to go to my nearest Walgreens/Walmart and get $175 worth of an Apple Pay gift card. The Walgreens I went to did not have Apple Pay, I informed the recruiter, and I was commanded to get an Amazon Card. I got the Amazon card and followed the recruiters instructions, and his (the recruiter: Robert Williams’) response, (10 minutes after giving him all the information and details of the gift card) came with photos saying that the card had been used already, that I need to purchase another one from a different store. It’s been 30 hours ago since the incident and the recruiter will not stop asking me to send another $175, without any empathy that I had just lost $175 from the first attempt.
